Money from Sweden is an independent state-financed website the purpose of which is to show the costs associated with sending money abroad. This website does not recommend any particular bank or company but its purpose is to compare the ones that operate in the Swedish market. The idea is that you will be able to decide for yourself which company or service best suits your particular needs.
All the information on this site is collected by means of “mystery shopping”. This means that we engage a research company whose personnel collect data about all costs. They do so by acting as customers.
Use example amounts
We use three example amounts: transfers of 1,000, 3,000 and 5,000 kronor. We only measure what takes place on this occasion and nothing else.
You need to make your own choice
As a user you should not make your decision based solely on the information presented here because the actual costs may vary. We advise you not to view the figures as facts but as approximate figures. You need to find out what happens on each occasion.
The Swedish Consumer Agency manages the service
The website is operated and administered by the Swedish Consumer Agency. The Swedish Consumer Agency is a government authority.
